Jeffrey Weir, MA LCMHC, is a consultant and psychotherapist specializing in traumatic stress in individuals and organizations. He is a founding partner of Organizational Resiliance International (ORI Consulting) and is a supervisor at The Trauma Center in Boston. Through the Trauma Center he co-wrote a grant that established the first agency in the nation to operate a federally funded crisis intervention and assessment program for human trafficking victims. With ORI Consulting he provides consultation and planning for the Human Impact of crisis on organizations. He has worked extensively in the field of trauma including the September 11 attacks in New York and Hurricane Katrina in Dallas, Memphis and Mississippi. He has worked with school systems, governmental agencies and private corporations in dealing with the aftermath of crisis and disaster. He is an experienced trainer, facilitator and speaker and has worked throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Jeffrey lives in New Hampshire where he also has a private psychotherapy practice specializing in the treatment of trauma and has extensive training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). He was a treating clinician in one of the largest randomized controlled studies comparing EMDR to Fluoxetine in the treatment of PTSD.
