Nick Taranto

Nick Taranto graduated from Dartmouth in 2006 and spent the next year in rural East Java, Indonesia on a Fulbright grant. While teaching English there part time, Nick spent his weekends and holidays as RMF's liaison to KOMPIP. Funded and supported by RMF, working with Akbar and the rest of the KOMPIP team, Nick built out KOMPIP's microfinance operations from 25 initial loans to a current loan portfolio of over 5,000 clients. Nick will graduate from the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School concurrent MBA and MPA Masters program in 2010. He is a United States Marine reservist and will begin working with Goldman Sachs in New York in 2011. He surfs, climbs, travels, and takes black and white film photographs in his free time.
