Penny Haney, Ph.D.

Penny Haney, Ph.D. is a clinical and forensic psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families, particularly those who have experienced trauma, court involvement, or other adverse circumstances. She is a frequent lecturer and trainer in the area of child trauma and maltreatment, both locally and nationally, and consults to families, schools, agencies, attorneys, medical and mental health professionals, and courts regarding child/adolescent development, trauma, and mental health. She is currently a staff psychologist at Children's Hospital Boston and at the Youth Advocacy Project (the juvenile public defender's office in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts). Dr. Haney also holds a faculty appointment as an Instructor of Psychology at the Harvard Medical School.
