Team Asia
As RMF has expanded from a clinic and a promise to one child in post-tsunami Sri Lanka to a worldwide movement, RMF’s Team Asia has also grown proportionately to meet the needs of communities throughout the region, responding to disasters and addressing long-term challenges associated with high poverty and sustainable development. RMF’s Team Asia combines a vast amount of technical expertise and decades of on the ground experience. Our team, predominantly based in the field, has battled tsunamis, earthquakes, and drought, helping communities from Pakistan’s Northwest Frontier Province to Indonesia’s tsunami survivors. Our staff live in villages, ride motorcycles through jungles, break curfews, and battle the day to day challenges of living and working in the developing world.
Our team caters to the needs of the individual communities we work in, providing HIV/AIDS awareness and treatment to tribal communities and strengthening village capacity to battle malnutrition in India, providing health care to remote communities in the mountains and catering to internally displaced people in Pakistan, providing stable medical resources and pre-school education to tsunami survivors in Sri Lanka, giving tsunami survivors access to microfinance in Indonesia, and helping one child at a time throughout the region with acute medical needs.
Meet the individuals of RMF’s Team Asia who despite daily challenges make RMF’s programs in Asia a success.
