Cook and Cleaner
Sarah Gatkuoth Nyakot is a South Sudanese national, born in Wau Payam of Ayod County in Jonglei State. She completed her Sudan basic primary eight level of education in 1995, but due to sociocultural barriers to female education, she was unable to pursue further studies. Sarah worked as a cook and cleaner with several other respected international NGOs for a year before joining Real Medicine Foundation’s team in June 2016 as Cook and Cleaner based in Jiech. Sarah likes her job and is very cooperative with colleagues and the local leaders in the area.
Sarah enjoys cleaning work, narrating stories with colleagues, and advising young girls on the value of education.
