Description

  • Over 600 spinal cord injury (SCI) patients are estimated to have survived the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan .These SCI patients are mainly women and children who developed thoracic and lumbosacral spinal cord injuries with cauda-equina and adjacent vertebral and soft tissue damage. Some of them had spinal stabilization and other surgeries done. Very few quadriplegics with cervical (neck) SCI have survived, as they could not get medical support in tim. Goal The programme aims to promote productive and meaningful lives for children who have sustained Spinal Cord Injuries and their families.
